Use Loctite threadloc but be careful not to use too much as it can find its way down to the 'O' ring and cause the valve to stick. Check for free movement after a couple of hours.
The normal set up length is 74.5mm from the center of the blade arc to the tip of the hex nut on the cap inc the little nib of plastic in the middle.
