Sorry, but I can`t agree with that one.
I agree basically with what you say regarding helmet spoilers, fancy race suits and such like (despite the fact that it is anyone`s right to spend money on what the choose), in fact these issues have been argued over and over in previous threads, but there is no way that any impressionable young karter, (or perhaps not so young for that matter) is going to go to buy a kart and say, "Wow!!! look at the seat stays on that, I want it". Quite possibly in many cases, "Wow!!! look at the sticker kit/fully covered seat/carbon floor tray/etc,etc, on that, I want it"...........but seat stays......no.
You say they are a `fashion item`, but how??
Because you may think they simply don`t work, and I certainly can`t prove whether they do or they don`t.........but many drivers think they do work, can you disprove it, in ALL cases.
All kinds of set up suits different drivers, so if stays work for some, and they aren`t illegal, whats the problem?
But as for being a fashion item that would sell a kart.........I think not.
