The reason we both sound surprised is that it sounds as though you are mounting the sprocket on the wrong SIDE of the carrier.... or that you have the carrier mounted the wrong way around.

However, I find those things hard to believe as you say you managed to change the sprocket without removing the carrier; if it was the wrong way around... I can't see how you can do that..... unless I suspose, you have split sprockets.

Clearly, Rich and I are both a both surprised. Can you enlighten us, please?
