I believe that P1 can call a false start (not sure why I think this, would have to go and do some reading)but wont as sure someone will know.
P2 is a nightmare as we have had false starts when P2 hit the acceleration line with P1, but because they were on extremes of sproket P2 hit the start line first. swings and roundabouts as not sure of standing starts are any better.
