Hi, had the clutch side main bearing fail at the weekend, it was the 6204 C4 bearing as supplied from spellframe, it had a plastic cage which has been destroyed. They were in for 2 hours. When I bought an engine in the past it had 6204 C3 bearings fitted which had a steel cage. Do people generally run with the plastic cage ones? and why would you expect them to fail. Also the chain wasnt over tight and it had been running rich enough to wet the plug slightly. cheers
