....oh BRILLIANT.......

And that's why the airflow OUT of a pump remains the same when the INPUT is CLOSED......... is it? Or are you trying to say that if we shut OFF the airflow.... the THROUGHPUT of AIR (not the internal 'swept volume' of the piston crown) remains the SAME....?

The airflow through the engine is SLOWER and N*O*T faster when being choked and if that was therefore the ONLY resaon the pressure changed..... by YOUR use of Bernouille's rules..... then the pressure should INCREASE within the engine when it's being choked...... err...... I don't think you'll find that it DOES!

The fuel dragged in by choking DOES NOT increase in volume by evaporation by ANYWHERE NEAR enough to retain the throughput of an OPEN inlet. A 'wet hand' after choking rather PROVES that point! As would the checking of the internal pressures in the throttle-body DURING choking..... which would be HUGELY reduced....

But what, in god's name, does that matter. I was NOT giving a lecture on physics.... I was explaining WHY and HOW we choke and gave a pretty damned good ROUGH explanation of HOW it works! You are desperately trying to find something about which you can 'have a go'..... so please..... knock-yourself-out.... if it gives you pleasure. Those of us watching you will be able to 'judge' what's going on.

Ian
