Hi Steve, yes you are quite correct. He did get fastest laps but that was when we replaced a number of parts. If we remember correctly,he did get a fastest lap or two but it only lasted for a meeting and a half and then it started to handle erratically.Quite a few people noticed that he was having to drive the kart in a different manner as the kart handling became very inconsistent - 3 or 4 laps fine then 3 or 4 where he had to haul the kart around the track.Andrew noticed this also and commented on it.Unfortunately when the main crack showed through the paint,Andrew and others agreed the kart was not practically repairable - it would never be the same again.

You Steve and others seem to know more about this than we do.We did not know our chassis was now in Italy, thanks for the info and given the number that have cracked,I think that they will have to see more than just our chassis given the number that appear to be cracking. We only heard recently, again from someone else that John Hoyle had decided to provide another chassis ie we had had no communication from John Hoyle on the matter for over a month, despite phone calls, emails etc.An email only arrived a few days after we had heard this from Andrew, who we believe had told John that he really should be talking to us on this.
We have absolutely no confidence in the Storm chassis or it's components. There is absolutely no point in us accepting another chassis or kart for the same problems to arise again. As you probably know, there are a number of drivers who are onto their second and third chassis and most of them,if not all, have cracked. There are quite a number out there who have simply given up on the Storm and moved onto other karts. As mentioned, there's no point in taking another one for the same thing to happen again. How long will it last before we have to reframe again and bear in mind, our handling problems started after two meetings?
We agree with others here....that the kart is not fit for the purpose intended. To have to replace new bits on a new kart is surely not acceptable and would you be happy if you had to do this? Also, would you be happy when the handling of your brand new kart goes off before the end of the second meeting and a fairly serious crack appears soon after? Would you honestly be happy taking another one, possibly having to replace new parts and for it to last how long this time?

Not sure why John Hoyle seems to want to tell other people what he is doing with his customers but not talking to them directly. This is not helpful. It is at the very least discourteous and certainly not acting in a professional or business like manner.
He has also now decided that we have not to communicate with him and has asked us to deal with his agent.Even this we did not know about until told again from a third party. So,I think it is fair to say,we have been kept in the dark by John in this one and for him now to decide to pass the buck to his agent is not fair on anyone here but we cant afford to let this go or write it off and will have to pursue it.

Did not really want to have this all out on here in so much detail Steve but you have made a couple of comments. I dont know if you have been given all the facts here. Also,if you have been given anymore details regarding our kart and situation, perhaps you can get in touch with us and fill us in - it would be nice to know.

Andrew did kindly let us use his demo kart so that we could race at the last race meet we did.Unfortunately, our son felt that it did not feel as good as his kart when new and he did not feel that he would be competitive in it.Also,in the back of his mind and ours was the chance of this one cracking as well while he was driving it.So,we were grateful for the use of it but we did hand it back.
Again,if you know anymore about our kart and situation perhaps you would be kind enough to get
in touch - you should have our phone numbers and email address.
Cheers
