I seem to have to run really long chain lengths and because of this I find I am constantly splitting chains in order to add lengths onto them. I mainly practice at Bayford but I am looking to go to Rye house too. At the moment I am running a 86 rear sprocket and 12 front. My chain length is about 114 link but cant go any shorter as the engine mount at the rear ir right next to one of the cross member bars of the chassis. This means I cant go any further back, only forward. I have a parolin chassis. When I go to Rye House I may need a slightly larger rear sprocket such as an 88 so I will end up using a 115/116 link chain. Is this right/ok to use at these lengths?
