I agree with all of the above as a guide however, be careful as every carb is slightly different. I've got carbs that work really well when low jet set to tick over at 1700-1800 and others that are so rich on the low, there's no chance of it ticking over.
If john davies (force) has set the jets. Use them asyour base setting and set tick over using throttle cable.
