I know that when you hold the reed valve assembly up to the light that you should not be able to see daylight. This is the case at the end of the petals but if I turn the assembly so that I am looking into it at an angle, I can see daylight at the sides of the petals. Is this suppose to be like this? Or do I need some new ones?

Appreciate your advice.
