Cheers for the replies, when its does pick up it pulls like a train, with regards the piston rings could you see this without exposing the piston itself, say take the exhaust elbow off and shine a light down the port, also would you see signs of scouring on the sides of the barrel? I have recently serviced the carb so would be hoping that the pressure is holding up. How do you clean the airfilter or do you just replace them? So by replacing the rear cog from a 76 to a 84/86 would this increase my revs?
