This was actually a complete joke!! As team manager of the driver was present when the apeal was made and I stated to the clerk that the pole man can not be penalised for jumping the start unless he accelerated before the designated point, and clearly states so in the blue book!! Only to be hit with the response" I can do what I like".
We then got a copy of the clubs sr,s to ensure they hadn't slipped something into them and nope nothing!! So nothing in writting stating anything different from the book, the second place driver had no issues!! But still told basically quit your appeal of get worse!!!
Just to add to the joke!! I heard an aboucement stating that upgrade cards were ready fir collection before the finals had even started!!! So a new novice that may have wiped out half the field got his signature before getting into the kart!!! clerk/steward must have had the dinner waiting or something!!
