At the end of a test day on Sunday the clutch on my Leopard was making a funny noise with the engine idling, almost as if it was momentarily catching or engaging. Took the drum off tonight expecting to find one of the shoes broken off and rattling around loose inside the drum but all was in order and the clutch had plenty of wear left, but the surfaces of the friction material are glazed black and a bit 'scabby'. The surface of the drum looks in good condition. Anyone had this issue before or ideas on cause? Any ideas on how to return the friction material to the usual condition? Also, is the Leopard clutch the same as the Lynx used in Formula Blue?
