How many of you have had problems with the 'top hat' in the caster units shattering?

These things are about г40.00 a pop and the little top hats are breaking up in the unit and then the bits fall out when you go to change the ride height.

It looks like the plating has caused a severe hardening of the metal and it becomes crystaline.

You can break them up in your fingers.

I've just turned one up in the lathe with a bit more meat on the diameter and fitted it fot testing, next time out, I'll let you know if it works.

Reason I ask is, are there enough breaking to warrant making some to save people гггггггггг's?

If all four break, you're looking at about г160.00
