Shennington Seniors Dry :

12-74/5
12.5 carb @ 30/30's
155-158 jet
K98 clip 1
IW27 plug
Tyres @ 9-10psi
Soft rear end

From the limited info you list I'm fairly sure it may be an EXHAUST problem !!! A friend of mine (Ben Palmer) had same problem till I let him try 3 of our exhausts and hey presto, he couldnt beleive how much he could feel the valve open !
