So why not make a flat 'U' shaped piece that fits the pedal with a hole in the 'base' of the U to allow attachment to the threaded end of the brake rod; threading more of the rod if needed.
Or machine a new Y piece that fits the pedal.
Or check out anyone who already has ali pedals.
