my opinion for what it's worth...
The piston sizes are purely to accommodate the slight differences in finished barrel sizes. These are nickosil coated or whatever and do vary slifhtly. The barrel is stamped from memory (with dots?) to identify if it's on upper or lower tolerance. This I believe is so small it gives no performance advantage. Carefully cleaning then rebuilding and setting squish is all you can really do. To get it resealed however it will need to be totally stipped and checked to the fisch and rebuilt and sealed! So in my opinion give it a builder who has years of experience and knows all the legal triacks of the trade! Several builders post here and will give you a more informed view than my own. Of coasre you could get it rebuilt with selected parts...
