Depends on the circuit. As already stated on the thread, gearing setup between circuits varies, so this doesn't mean do the same for every circuit, but I'm comfortable leaving mine to rev to 16,500 where I need to and I've never had any engine problems (in about 13 years - apart from the accidental slip-ups with neat fuel)

Keep it rebuilt every 6-7 hours (which is'nt earth shatteringly expensive in the grand scheme of things) and you should be fine.
