Mr Harridge.

Expenses were only regularly paid out from the mid 90's. For the 20 years before that, I did it for a meal at the track.

Nowadays, the mechanics on a championship weekend will be "paid" more than I will. Why? Because some of us don't want to rip off the clubs.

Would you do it? I somehow doubt it.
