Has anyone done this switch as I've come accross a problem. Just swapping over to digital on my second engine so have removed old analogue rotor and stator and now tried to fit new rotor and stator. The new stator, where the wires connect, has a lug on it, which is supposed to fit in to a notch on the engine case. My problem is the engine I'm fitting it to doesn't have the notch (it's an older blue engine) so stator won't fit properly. The other engine I have was bought new as a digital unit so has the notch built into the engine casing, the older engine does not.

Am I safe to simply saw/file off the lug, it's only black plastic but I'm worried I might be cutting into wires etc.
