What you are seeing is as a result of the manufacturer using different sensor designs in the base and remote units.

Your Jet-Tech software has a barometer calibration function which is designed to address any of your weather stations inaccuracies.

ps. I just checked my Davis Weather Station (£500+) before making this post and it has a 2 degree separation!
