One thing nobody has mentioned yet is if the engine mount is drilled incorrectly, the engine can sit at an angle to the rear sprocket. In this way you can line the rear sprocket up with the rear of the front sprocket with a laser, but the front of the front sprocket will be pointing away at an angle to the line of the chain.
