The aim is right (and whole heatedly support it), but implementation isnt. Wrote to MSA on Monday and they have replied that they are looking at this further as it sends the wrong message for those who meet weight without extras. In the meantime we race as always, standard ribs, leatte but now 1.2kg over weight if rule applied as on sunday.
Would the boy race without kit- no.
