For all the 10's of messages on here nobody, I don't think, has said it's affected them at a race ! Have they ? S1 or FKS or whatever hasn't stopped running as the grid oiled up or seized and lap times got slower, so is it really a massive thing, other than making sure it runs ? At the other end of the scale the 1 club race we've done under the new rules went off perfectly ok. The front runners stayed at the front, nobody went up or down much at all. Most people know within an 1/8th of a turn where the carb will start or end up at, for me there's been little change. Just don't belt it from stone cold if you don't want it to risk cold seize damage in 1st practice.
