I agree with the above. There needs to be a low cost probably single make kart/engine package at club level for new comers and people who want to race for fun and not as a career.

I was hoping Tal-ko would try an easykart concept when it was changing its rules. An engine like what the WTP B1 was, would be perfect although more power would be needed. Simple Pull start, clutched 2 stroke motor and then a spec chassis would attract a lot more people rather than 2800+vat for a chassis that wins and the 2000+vat for a rotax engine.

Many people wont buy second hand for the fear of buying something that they cant race, so if a new package is affordable then this would attract more newcomers. 2nd hand outfits would then be even cheaper and attract people that dont mind buying second hand.
