you can convert your direct drive motor to a clutched one ..........but it can be an expensive job! before you even buy the horstman clutch kit, you need a longer crank half to accomodate it, I did the conversion myself about 7years ago and from memory it cost about £350, it could be that you are better off buying a secondhand clutched motor? but remember you will also need an off board starter for this? if you could learn the knack of bump starting yourself you could save yourself£££££££££££££s hope this helps
