It is a question of how often they change the tooling on the CNC machine. We run CNC and if you can afford quality tooling - diamond cut etc they they don't have to be changed very often. With the limited production qty's and Rotax won't skimp on tooling I can imagine most CNC barrels will be the same or if would be a long time before they change either for better or worse - worn tooling might produce a 'better' shape for power!! If you want to be sure get a low serial number barrel, but don't expect number 1 to be any different than number 400.
Cast to full CNC will create a difference but either could be better for power.
