when running tkm we used to spray the exhaust with wd40 whilst exhaust still very hot (ie within minutes of coming off track) be sure to cover your brake disk and caliper whilst spraying the oil though! didnt make it really blue but good enough, keep a roll of medium wire wool in your box too, used together with any oil beforehand is great for emoving surface rust best of luck
