cheers for your response chris. i agree it sounds like something to do with the carb. however the carb works great on my other engine this is what it so weird unless since i did the ultra sonic clean this has made the carb act strange... i have since today checked it twice at the track and tonight when i got home i completely stripped the whole carb even under the float piston and put a new o ring like washer in there as it looked a bit poor. i had a 158 jet in it and it is setup how i always run it with my 09 engine. however when i change onto my other carb the 8.5 with the same settings and the same jet it ran much better. Could this be that the 8.5 runs leaner at the progression stage as opposed to the 12.5 so maybe it was too rich. Just to confirm aswel the two straights that it would not reach revs were after the solwest corners of the circuit. and the second straight is leading off a fast corner. Very strange :/
