It was the same last month - my driver is a club member and tried to do his online entry 10 days before the closing date only to be told the grid was full and they weren't accepting anymore entries . When I enquired how many non- members had they accepted entries from who were not competing in the Club championship they said there were at least 5 but they did not give preferential treatment to members on entries. So a driver who is ONLY competing at this club championship was unable to attend and therefore couldn't score any championship points as the grid place was taken by someone who wasn't there for the championship. How can that be right ? We were not happy as we had already paid for accomodation and awning space . The club said " that's is not our problem " . Thanks HKRC - hundreds of pounds not to race :(
