Ian/John - you have completely lost me on the fulcrum and tape measure thing.

Where is the pipe positioned, is it horizonal, vertical and/or perpendicular to the kart, placed on the floor below the kart etc, what is the purpose of the pipe, sorry but I am completely lost and can't imagine where it goes or why you are using it?

Thanks to everyone for their individual advice I have taken it all on board. Only thing is, my son drives the kart and doesn't notice any changes I make so he wouldn't know about shifting his body around the kart, he sits fairly still in the kart other than moving his head when going round corners - his driving style doesn't really change from dry to wet in terms of moving his body.
