Has anybody got any views on the announced weight changes for Tkm next season.
Talko says it gives greater flexibility without the need for carrying extra lead.
Tkm 152kg is changing from minium driver weight of 68 kilos to 60 kilos, surely this would mean if you wanted to race in this weight class you would now need to add more weight on your kart if youre around the minium driver weight? The MSA need to scrutineer properly and weigh the driver aside from the kart or what is the need for minimum driver weights if this isn't checked as it hasn't been up to now at my circuit.
I am a heavier driver 79/80 kilos and the new intended weight category of 132kg restricted but no minium driver weight i think anybody in this category is at a greater advantage than somebody in 152kg class.
A Minium of 20kg weight difference, surely that is going to affect more than a restricter
