"Sad to say yet another fragment in the self destruction of karting!"

Nice informative contribution there! Not that I actually understood it and apparently I'm not alone.

The drivers have been downtrodden for years and have moved away or not even entered karting.

There has always been the silent majority who have put up with the crap that has been dished out by the governing bodies but now they have a central hub where they can view and comment unfettered, on their sport, in the knowledge that people are trying to improve their lot.

Somewhere that actually listens!

It's come about because nobody actually cared about the drivers, they've had no voice and the governing bodies with their commercially interested members also sitting on the committees, has led to the selfishness of those people hanging on to a dying sport's dwindling revenue, rather than accepting it was dying (Being killed) and helping to do something about it.

Their solution has been more regulation and restraints rather than relaxation and listening to the CUSTOMERS.

The fact that John Mills has introduced the X30 with its unsealed engine and openness of regulations is a welcoming breath of fresh air.

It hasn't attracted bandits, rather the opposite.

Certain people are running scared and are more interested in trying to kill it before it starts, but it is already established.

If the MSA remove it due to external pressure, it will simply go IKR for the time being.

IKR is on the increase and there is an ever increasing number of clubs that are now looking at this.

The misinterpretation of people's posts on here is quite amusing at times, I don't know if it's laziness or just ignorance or both.

Some can't even get the name of the person posting, correct.

I'm Alan writing this semi diatribe by the way Mal, not Andrew, just in case you accuse me of something and call me George.

I'm afraid it's unlikely the BKDA is going to go away, the support is growing daily because drivers have nothing to lose by joining it and at the moment it's the only free thing in karting.

Nobody will flame them for their thoughts or ideas, however bizarre, unlike when they post on here. that's why those people are unlikely to post their opinions on UK Karting and remain the silent ones.

Who's Alex Salmond, well he'll be a nobody if Scotland votes for independence, but the BKDA will still be here, solving problems, not creating them. The problems have not been created by drivers and all the drivers are aware of that.

This is probably a one off post so don't get stressed and engage the caps lock, this is not my chosen forum anymore, I frequent the other side, BBC 3 and 4 rather than this Radio 1 and 2 bun throwing party.
