I doubt the wider karting world would agree with you, given the clamour against the ARKS test. "How come I can buy a moto-x bike today and race it tomorrow without taking a test? Stupid MSA putting another price barrier in the way of karting."

There's sensible reasons similar to your point for for ARKS tests and PG Licences but thread after thread decries them. Do you really think a Mechanics Test would be accepted?

In actuality I do agree with you. It may provide extra business for small teams when people realise they really don't know what they are doing!
