Errrr..... if you pay enough money, you CAN get a better barrel!

Obviously, this NEVER happens in Rotax so I am just suggesting a way in OTHER classes...

One way you can do this is :-

1) Find a less than perfectly scrupulous supplier and get him to search through a batch of (let's say) 100 engines and buy the one that is the 'best' (by measurements). Obviously, there is going to be quite a substantial charge for such a selected barrel..... so..... go all the way and get the supplier to search though EVERY component of all 100 engines and buy the 'best' one of each component off him..... that's going to get MORE expensive..... some people seem to afford to do this!
