With a spread out faster start you have a situation that, in all practicality, is no different from arriving at any corner at any other point in the race.
"the new and significant risk of a bogged lead kart / unsighted following kart high severity collision"
Karts just don't accelerate that fast (gearbox excluded, but they often do standing starts anyway) for this to be a problem and again, is significantly less of a problem than a kart spun across the start line or unsighted drivers bundling into a first corner accident.
Standing starts have many things going against them; lets not pretend they're somehow more dangerous.
