This assumes that more lateral crank float is an advantage. All the info I have suggests that end float should be around .008 inch which is actually less than the end float of the inner bearing race relative to the outer on the bearings we use. Whilst it is easy to set the end float on a gx Honda for example where the crank is free to slide within the inner bearing races
, the 2stroke engines with the bearings a tight fit on crank and housing when new make it much more difficult to decide if you have it right.
