Interesting first paragrah in an article on the "other" site.

"I thought my eyes were deceiving me. The tyres that still to this day I hear drivers wishing they had back in TKM – the Maxxis SLC – were being raced at Clay’s round of its IKR Championship across all of its classes. I had thought they were no longer available, but there they were, Ł70 a set and they have to last the championship. Yes, Ł70 and they have to last several rounds of racing! It’s an immediate cut in the costs of racing compared to the softer compounds often in use today."

I for one would welcome the return of the SLC's and would definately appreciate a 50% reduction in tyre price.
