sadly, the Walbro is proper cheap (that's why it's specced) and nasty and subsequently unreliable; unlike the tillotson alternative which is far more robust, reliable and tolerant which is why the operators of the only commercial fleet of TKM's (Club 100) went to all the trouble years ago of junking it and re engineering the manifold itself to accept the tilly; it filters through a very fine gauze over a much smaller area, debris here invariably causing starvation which it sounds as though you have. strip the damn thing and clean these areas out after each meeting and check that paddle height at the same time. its a pain but i'm afraid the only way.
