They come with silicone on the positive braid.

So what you gonna do? GUARANTEE that you will miss a heat or final or modify?

I've stripped starters after every meeting since we started Rotax and have continued to do the same with the X30. Hence I've never had to send one back OR missed a race.

If you want to finish, first you've got to start.

It doesn't bother me whose advice you take but you'll get no satisfaction running around the pits bleating that your starter has failed and you missed a good race, but at least it's under warranty.

Three penn'orth of silicone or the cost of your entry, hotel, fuel for journey, etc etc wasted for the weekend.
