Dot3 glycol based
Dot4 glycol
Dot6 SILICON
Dot5.1 Glycol

Why on earth someone decided it would be good to give it a 5.1 designation is beyond me,

You can use either 5 or 5.1 on a DRY system. ie drain and clean before changing.

The difference in the glycols is the boiling point.

OTK did release a bulletin stating either could be used.

I've had no problems changing from silicon to glycol.

Silicon gives a slightly softer pedal.

You cannot mix the two though.
