I'd have no concerns about having a chassis powder-coated. I've had a couple of cadets done, the only question is whether to get it jig checked before or after. I've always gone after, as I figured the heat could move it. BRT recommend after because they think it might chip if they have to tweak it.
When you see how often some OTK drivers have their karts manipulated on the jig, blasting and powder coating is the least of their worries
