I'm having a bit of a crisis of confidence:
In the exploded diagram, it shows an O-Ring below the choke assembly (item 27).
Am I right in thinking that it is the O-Ring that seals the choke body against the carb body, and that there is no seal below the part of the choke assembly that actually goes up and down?

Also, in the carb rebuild kit, I have a small fibre washer and a small copper washer, both pretty much the same size - 4 or 5mm diameter - and I can't see them on the exploded diagram or in the carb.
Are they spare?
