They all crack, even the new style with the ridge around the circumference.

Driving style is one influence.

Maintenance is another. I strip and clean every couple of heats.

I remove the clutch shoe and clean the friction surface with a coar$e Scotchbrite on a flat surface.

(This site is infuriating when it stops you posting due to an obscure 'banned' word and you haven't used one. I've had to respell 'coar$e!)
