If you can change the fron sprocket, go smaller, this will mean that you could get just as many revs using a smaller rear sprocket. I.e A 9 front 80 rear gives a ratio of 8.89 and to get the same ratio with 11 mean u need an 89 on the rear, so try and get a smaller one. Go here for sprocket ratios - http://www.lkrc.uk.com/gearcalc.htm - If you are just practicing or havinga bit of fun keep the engine, but if you are looking to be competative then go and get a competative one. P.S Use Sprocket protectors aswell!
