The main cost of max is tyres. Top guys have a new set for every race. And coz Warden is always such a green track the new rubber seems to help quite a lot.

The engine doesn't lose much performance until 20 hours, possibly more, so you can survive a season without a rebuild. I had mine dyno'd at 5 hours and 15 hours, and it had lost 0.1 hp, same dyno but obv different conditions so not a perfect comparison but still, not much difference in output.
