From testing both the red and grey restrictor back to back in the Senior class (same weight rules apply for both classes) I can say with a good degree with confidance that Red is definatly the better restrictor to be on.

The extra weight required to run the grey restrictor over the red causes the tyres to wear quicker which means the performance drop over a long race distance is alot bigger for the heavier driver than the lighter driver. This applies with all the restrictor and engine sizes.

Remember, the heavier driver has to brake with 10+ extra kilos, corner with 10+ extra kilos and accerlate with 10+ extra kilos. This is a disadvantage in the long run.

My advice would be if you're light enough to be within the limit of the restrictor band thats below the one you're currently racing. Run it, your tyres will thank you for it.
