Am I right in thinking that you mean going from club level MSA to national level MSA? If you do mean that then I think there are other options available, isn't there a local championship run in the north of England for Blue drivers?

If you mean going from non-MSA to MSA then the costs can't be that much more, surely you could just do 10 races a season instead of 12?
