Prokartman your idea of a plug chop can only be accurately used on a motor that uses a gearbox and clutch not a clutched d/drive kart.
To read a plug chop you must simultaneously kill the ignition and de clutch to stop the engine continuing to turn from maximum revs. With any kart other than a gearbox to achieve this you need to switch off and lock the wheels solid. Not good for the tyres or track safety!
