"2009 clutch features a solid clutch block, similar to those used by KF's. The new clutch block and drum are lighter than the current clutch assembly, the metal balance gears add weight to keep the overall rotating mass of the engine the same as the current specification clutches."

So apart from the slip of the clutch possibly being different, there shouldn't be any benefits other than improved reliability (hopefully)
